Nash, Lawrence D

Nash, Lawrence D

I was deeply saddened to learn of Larry Nash’s death. I knew him from elementary school (Taylor) through our graduation at W-L. In our Taylor days I was at his house several times for what I guess are now called “play dates”. We’d shoot baskets and toss the baseball around. Once junior high rolled around Larry went all in on sports. He was a gifted football player and wrestler. On top of his athletic skills he was reeeeeally smart and had a dry, self-effacing wit. There is a lovely write-up by one of Larry’s Amherst classmates that touches on the talents he displayed at college and in his career. As you can read he was successful in multiple fields (advertising and teaching), fluent in different languages, and a world traveler. Note that he later moved into rugby — a sport that I know (from my son having played it) requires toughness, muscle, speed, and brains. He is deeply missed.

  1. What’s up folks? I’ve been testing out super85 recently and I’m liking the vibe. It’s straightforward and has some cool promotions. Take a look at super85 when you get a chance.
